3.1. Subscription for the reports
of the deals made
Click on the key “Settings” of the main menu when
the terminal is connected to the server and select the label “Announcements” (picture
20.1.) .
For receiving reports put a mark against the item “Receive
reports by e-mail” and enter the address of the e-mail
in the window.
For unsubscribing – remove the mark.

3.2. Setting of data export from «iTrader».
Export in DDE format
Click on the key “Settings” of the main menu when the
terminal is connected to the server and select the label “Export
data” (picture 20.2.)
Select the way of DDE export, placing the corresponding mark”.
Attention: The settings will be changed only after restarting
the terminal.
Picture 20.2.
Parameters of DDE-connection:
- DDE Server: ITRADER
- DDE Topic: *
- DDE Item: BID, ASK TIMESTAMP
Note: the instrument should be switched on in the quotations
window
Formula examples for MS Excel:
=ITRADER|USDCHF!BID
=ITRADER|EURUSD!ASK
=ITRADER|GBPUSD!TIMESTAMP
When working with TIMESTAMP settings – you should enter
a special data format for this cell, for exmple DD.MM.YYYY, otherwise
Excel will try to reflect the data as a number.
Export to technical analysis programs
The trading terminal enables export of data to programs of technical
analysis:
1) Export of static information (quotations history) to programs
MetaStock and Omega TradeStation.
Example:
In the context menu of charts select the item “Export to…” Metastock
(ASCII). The program will offer you to save the data in .txt
file,
accessible by MetaStock. It only remains to import this file
with the help of the program “The Downloader” of
MetaStock.
2) On-line export to MetaStock
By default on-line export is switched off. You can switch it
on in the menu Connection/Settings/Export data. Place a mark
against the item
“Export quotes history to MetaStock”. Below you can
see the folder where the information will be exported. Files
from this folder may be
opened by MetaStock without convertation. For exportation of
the quotes the chart should be opened in the charts window.
3.3. Setting the connection of “iTrader” through
a proxy-server
This setting is necessary for those traders, who work in the Internet
not directly but through a proxy-server.
Before making these settings try to connect to the server with
default settings.
The window for proxy-server settings appears after pressing the
key ‘Settings” with broken connection of
the terminal and the server (picture) 21.
Picture 21.
1. Connection without a proxy-server
In most cases a user connects to the Internet directly, therefore
in the settings you should just enter the settings of the server
for connection
if it is not given by default.
2. Connection through a proxy-server
Some users connect to the Internet through a local network where
all users can get access to the global network only through a proxy-server.
The trading terminal has several variants of connection for different
types of proxy-server (TCP-channel, Socks, etc.)
2.1. Setting TCP-channel
TCP-channel is the way of connecting through a proxy-server when
there is a channel between the proxy-server port and the port of
a
certain server (the server of the trading platform). In order to
make the settings of the trading terminal for this variant of connection
you
should make two steps:
1) The administrator of your local network should create TCP-channel
with the trading server as point of destination (port 8211)
2) In the connection settings as the server IP enter the IP of
the proxy-server in your local network and the port, from which
TCP-channel is
created. In this case the proxy-server will not buffer the programs
connection.
Example: the proxy-server has address 192.168.0.254 in the local
network.
We create a channel through the port 9999 to the port 8211 of the
trading server 193.124.133.128
(So we have a TCP-channel 192.168.0.254:9999 -> 193.124.133.150:8211)
In the settings we enter the proxy-server address - 192.168.0.254
and the port 9999
2.2. Connection through a Socks-server
If a proxy-server supports protocol Socks of 4 or 5 version it
is possible to make connection through it.
In this case the address and the port of the server stay the same
as for direct connection (without a proxy-server), but it is necessary
to enter the version of the proxy-server Socks v4, v4a or v5 (find
out from the system administrator), the proxy-server address and
the
port of Socks-protocol (usually 1080 but may be changes by
the system administrator). If authorization is required, put the
corresponding
mark and enter the login and password information.
2.3. Connection through HTTP-proxy
If your proxy-server supports HTTP-protocol (find out from the
system administrator), you may make the settings for this connection.
In this case the address and the port of the server remain the
same as with direct connection but in proxy parameters select “HTTP”,
enter the address of the proxy-server and the port (usually 8080,
but may be changed by the administrator). If the proxy-server requires
authorization – enter necessary login and password information.
The example ma be seen below.
Attention: when setting the connection
through a proxy-server we recommend coordinating your actions with
the administrator of your local network. |
